The Soul of the Soil: Riju & Benjy’s Kerala Heritage

The Vision: Back to the Roots

Riju and Benjy didn’t want the artificial lights of a ballroom; they wanted the dappled sunlight of their ancestral farm. Coming from traditional Nair families in the heart of Kerala, they sought a celebration that felt like a ‘Coming Home.’ Their vision was ‘God’s Own Country’ in its purest form—white and gold Kasavu fabrics, the scent of fresh earth, and the sacred simplicity of a heritage union.

The Scenography: Nature as the Architect

For Riju and Benjy, Zenwax’s design team didn’t build a set; we curated a landscape. We worked with the existing architecture of the farm, using sustainable materials to honor the environment. The Mandap was a tribute to Malayali tradition—structured with reclaimed teak, adorned with bunches of green bananas, and draped in fresh, local jasmine. We ensured that the decor didn’t hide the farm, but celebrated its natural wildness.

The Artistry: The Poetry of Kasavu

Capturing a traditional Kerala wedding requires a deep respect for natural light. Our team focused on the ‘Organic Candid’ style, letting the lush green background provide the contrast for the couple’s iconic white and gold attire. In this frame, we captured the sheer joy of their walk through the groves—a moment that feels as fresh as the morning dew. There are no forced poses here; just the authentic rhythm of two souls moving in harmony with their heritage.

The Zenwax Promise: Preserving the Sacred

For Riju and Benjy, the ‘Zen’ was in the silence of the trees. We managed the logistics of a farm wedding with the precision of an international agency, ensuring the traditional rituals remained the heartbeat of the day. We didn’t just document a wedding; we preserved a family legacy. Their gallery is a love letter to Kerala—a reminder that the most beautiful stories are those rooted deep in the soil.
